Audit SEO, AEO, GEO and AI crawler readiness in one place
This SEO audit tool checks a real public page instead of showing generic or pre-filled advice. Enter a URL above and SBS Toolbench fetches the page server-side, reads its HTML, and calculates fresh SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI crawler access signals. The report highlights what passed, what failed, why it matters, and which fixes are relevant to that specific page.
What does this SEO audit tool check?
The audit combines classic on-page and technical checks with newer AI-search signals. Instead of treating a page as a single score, it separates the findings so you can see whether a weakness belongs to search fundamentals, answer-friendly content, generative search structure, or crawler permissions.
- SEO: title and meta description quality, canonical URL, headings, language and viewport tags, HTTPS, indexability, Open Graph tags, image alt text, schema, content depth, links, robots.txt and sitemap availability.
- AEO: question-led headings, FAQ and article schema, author or entity signals, dates, structured data, H2 coverage and answer-friendly content depth.
- GEO: comparison structures, lists, citations, topical depth, authorship, internal links, schema and llms.txt availability.
- AI crawlers: robots.txt rules for named crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, Apple, Common Crawl and other platforms.
How to use the free SEO audit
- Paste the full public URL you want to inspect, including
https://. - Choose Run SEO Audit for one page, or Scan Site to sample URLs from the site's sitemap.
- Enable Core Web Vitals when you also want mobile PageSpeed performance data. This can take longer because it depends on Google's external API.
- Review the failed checks first. Each failure includes page-specific evidence and a practical recommendation.
- Use the Fix Generator for missing meta, canonical, Open Graph or structured-data gaps, then re-run the audit to measure the change.

How to interpret SEO, AEO, GEO and AI crawler scores
A score is a diagnostic summary, not a Google ranking guarantee. A page can rank with an imperfect audit score, and a technically perfect page can still underperform if it does not satisfy search intent, earn trust, or compete well for the query. Use the score to prioritize gaps and verify implementation rather than treating 100/100 as the end goal.
| Audit layer | What a stronger result usually means | Best next action |
|---|---|---|
| SEO | Core metadata, crawl/index signals, page structure and internal linking are in healthier shape. | Fix critical indexability and metadata failures before cosmetic improvements. |
| AEO | The page gives answer engines clearer questions, entities, authorship and structured information. | Add concise answers, useful question headings and appropriate schema where the content supports it. |
| GEO | The content is easier for generative systems to interpret, summarize and cite in context. | Improve topical depth, supporting evidence, comparisons, lists, citations and entity clarity. |
| AI crawler | Your robots.txt is not explicitly blocking the tested user-agents at the root level. | Decide crawler access intentionally; an allowed crawler does not guarantee inclusion or citation. |
Real page data, not placeholder recommendations
Every page audit is calculated from the HTML fetched at scan time. Heading counts, missing image alt attributes, schema blocks, internal and external links, detected questions and top keywords come from the submitted page itself. If a page cannot be fetched, the tool reports the error instead of inventing a score.
If structured data is the problem, you can build and validate JSON-LD with our LocalBusiness Schema Generator & Validator. For a lighter metadata-focused check, compare results with the Webmaster Tools SEO Audit.
What should you fix first?
Start with issues that can prevent crawling, indexing or correct canonicalization. Then address missing or weak title and description tags, heading structure, internal links, image accessibility and structured data. After the fundamentals are stable, improve answer quality, author/entity signals, citations and content organization for AEO and GEO.
Do not add schema or keywords simply to make an audit score green. Markup should describe visible page content, and keywords should read naturally. For technical implementation guidance, Google maintains official documentation in Google Search Central.
Frequently asked questions
Is this SEO audit tool free?
Yes. You can run the page audit without creating an account. The public endpoint is rate-limited to reduce automated abuse, so repeated scans from the same IP may need a short wait.
Does the SEO audit tool analyze the real page HTML?
Yes. The WordPress backend fetches the submitted public URL server-side and parses the returned HTML. The report is created from that response, including its headings, links, images, metadata, schema and body text.
What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?
SEO focuses on search-engine discoverability and page quality. AEO focuses on making information easier for answer engines and assistants to extract. GEO focuses on content and entity signals that can make a page easier for generative search systems to understand and reference.
Does a 100 SEO score guarantee higher Google rankings?
No. Audit scores are diagnostic. Rankings also depend on search intent, competition, content quality, relevance, authority, links, freshness and many other systems. Use the score to find implementation gaps, not as a ranking guarantee.
Why can Domain Rating or Core Web Vitals show N/A?
Those values depend on external services. If an external endpoint is unavailable, rate-limited or times out, SBS Toolbench shows an honest unavailable state instead of substituting a placeholder value.
