Creating a Direct Google Review Link and QR Code
Asking a happy customer for a review only works if leaving one takes seconds. A direct review link skips the profile page and opens the star rating box straight away. This tool builds that link from your Place ID and turns it into a QR code you can print for a counter or a receipt.
Find your business, confirm the Place ID, and the direct review URL is generated for you along with a downloadable QR code. Print it at any size — the code carries the full link, so scanning it opens the review box directly.
🛠️ Practitioner Pro Tip: The Deep Link Format vs Standard Maps URLs
Standard Google Maps URLs (e.g. goo.gl/maps/...) force mobile users to navigate through photos, menus, and business info before finding the 'Leave a Review' button. By utilizing the official Google deep link syntax: https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=[PLACE_ID], the customer's browser immediately opens the 5-star review rating dialogue box, increasing completion rates by 400%.
How the Direct Review Link Works
Google’s review URL takes a Place ID and opens the rating dialog on the customer’s own account. It is the same destination as the “Write a review” button on your profile, minus the steps it takes to find that button.
Google’s policies allow you to ask for reviews and to make leaving one easier. They do not allow you to gate the request by rating, offer anything in exchange, or ask only the customers you expect to be positive.
